DTLC Radio 001 – Back to the Beginning (and a little about me)

In this kick-off edition of DTLC Radio, I go back to my roots in wanting to be Dr. Johnny Fever, disc jockey for ficticious radio station WKRP in Cincinnati as a 10-year-old kid. From pretending to broadcast from my bedroom as a kid to attending college for radio and television production to landing behind the mic of my own podcast, I have, in a sense, come full circle.

This episode simply presents me, Dr. David Turpen, as one who has lived a little life, made mistakes, and learned some valuable lessons along the way. Lessons that I hope will be of benefit to you and bring value to your own journey. As a pastor and counselor for 20 years, I transitioned to starting my own business as a spiritual development and life coach. Based on my own experiences and solid biblical precepts, my goal is to inspire you to live the life you’ve been called to live – a life worthy of your calling – embracing change and transition with a positive mindset.

The answers to three key questions are the building blocks of living the potential  God has planted within you as a Christian. Who are you? Whose are you? What are you here for? These questions form the basis for identifying your passion, determining your perspective, and discovering your purpose. No matter where you are in your journey or what you do as a vocation, you have the capacity to grow into the person you’ve been called to be. Ultimately, the person you desire to be.

If you want your life to be different…if you want to be different…you have the power to make the decisions and choices necessary to embrace change, overcome challenge, and grow in character. Living a transformational life is within your control, as you choose your attitude and actions. God is in the business of change – transformational change from the inside out – and the assumption is made that you’re heart has already been changed and you’re now in the process of learning to effect change in your daily life.

When you find yourself not being or living where you know you should…when you determine that what you’ve been doing is no longer working…when you decide that you’re ready to make a change and move forward, then I’m here to help. Many people, Christians included, often find that they’re living in a rut, stuck and stagnated, and not who or where they know they should be. The good news is, I can help with that.

Welcome to DTLC Radio – I’m your host – Dr. David Turpen. I’m here to help you live your potential through your own potential to transform your life.
